Why do you need a wedding photographer even for an elopement?

Q: You are currently only shooting elopements, destination weddings, and intimate weddings. Why did you choose to focus on small celebrations?

A: Small celebrations are intimate and personal. After years of doing so many weddings of various sizes, we connected the most with small weddings & elopements. It truly feels like it’s about the couple.

Q: A common reason for couples to choose an elopement is to have a casual, stress-free wedding, just for the two of them. Why should they still invest in a wedding photographer? 

A: Investing in great photos is always worthy, regardless of the occasion. However, an elopement is still special and more so, because there are potentially no guests or witnesses. The photos will be the one thing you can share with family & friends. 

Q: How does wedding photography for an elopement differ from traditional wedding photography? Are there even any differences?

A: Wedding & Elopement photography is definitely different. With weddings, there are more details, people, and logistics. With Elopements, it’s truly focused on the couple. 

Q: How many hours do you usually shoot at an elopement?

A: We spend about 3-4 hours of shooting elopements. This includes some getting ready, ceremonies, and portraits.

Q: What are your top tips for couples who want to hire a photographer for their elopement?

A: Hire someone you trust. The photographer you hire will be so much more than a photographer. They will be your sounding board for location, the timing of day for photos, and potentially your only eye witness and who you will be sending the most intimate part of your day with.

Q: Couples that have an elopement tend to be cost-conscious. Do you have any special elopement rates?

Q: What inspired you to become a wedding photographer?

A: Happy Accident, we didn’t actually pursue weddings. It fell into our lap.

Q: You have traveled a lot across the USA and also internationally. Can you tell us a little bit about where you have been? What has been your favorite destination so far?

A: We have been all over the world. South Africa, Vanuatu, Italy, France, Bahamas, Nicaragua, and so many others. Our favorite country is Italy, a close second is South Africa.

Q: Which destination is still on your bucket list?

A: The Maldives!
